It seems kind of silly to rate this song to me since it really just is a very brief lyrical introduction to "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)" which is objectively an AMAZING song. I don't know if I can even rate it like a single song without remembering what it's purpose is. As one song, no I'm not going to want to just put "Sprawl I (Flatland)" on replay and listen to it all day, but it fits perfectly on the album.

I think I'm probably the only person in the world who rates this song as the best from the album. Nostalgia levels on this one are off the charts.

It's a real grower on its own with a great sense of place, but when played alongside Sprawl II its just so worth it
