W song!
A lot of people seem to believe that Pusha T's verse here brings down the song, but in my opinion it elevates it. The whole song is Kanye speaking about how he's terrible with women and struggles to form healthy romantic relationships. The chorus goes "You've been putting up with my shit for way too long" "Let's have a toast to the douchebags, let's have a toast to the assholes, let's have a toast to the scumbags". I believe Pusha T's verse is meant to be from the perspective of one of the douchebags, assholes, and scumbags that the chorus refers to, which is why it's so crude and vulgar. As for the rest of the song, there's nothing that I can add that hasn't already been said. The single note piano, the fuzzy bass, the thumping drums. And then those last three minutes; the beautiful vocoder solo backed up by those grandiose strings. It's one of the highlights of Kanye's career. What else can I say, it's Runaway by Kanye West.

Possibly one of the best rap songs of all time. The autotune finale and the piano make this one of the most memorable pieces of music of the 21st century.

I want to love that Pusha T verse so much!!! but it just wouldnt happen. The song is still way wayyy too good to be anything less than a perfect 100.
The autotuned incoherent part is a career high!

One of the best songs of all time. From the first time I heard it I knew this was something else, and usually, it takes time for me to appreciate a song. Just perfect.
