Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 89.6/100, a mean average of 88.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.8/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.9.

I must have listened to this song a thousand times before I realized that a single note of feedback runs uninterrupted through the entire song.
The absolute gusto on this track. Of course on the lyrical front with passages that make my eyes pop. But also, musically, this track is a force of nature.
This is the sound of a band firing on all cylinders for achieve a sound and product no other collective of musicians could. Only the Smiths could have written this song.
What an unbelievable start to a stellar album.
She’s finally dead. Rot in peace
One of my favorites off the album, perfect opening.
A complete red herring when it comes to the the rest of the album. Marr completely cuts loose and starts the album out with a wild dose of garage punk, while Morrissey lays down one of the most heavy political statements of his career.
Banter
Brilliant opener :)
Brilliant gothic rock opener is in some ways false advertising for an album that generally sounds nothing like this.
Brilliant opener. Great lines as always. Best one being, 'i know you, you cannot sing, that's nothing you should hear me play piano'. Superb track.
Words and rhythm so urgent it's like they're trying to break out of the song itself.
