Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 16% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 78.4/100, a mean average of 79.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 9.1.

When the character meets God this is how he (God) is described:
So there He was on a waterbed
Drinking a cola of a mystery brand
Reading an airport novelette
Listening to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s requiem.
He said before it had really begun
I prefer the one about my son
I’ve been wading through all this unbelievable junk and
Wondering if I should have given the world to the monkeys.
So does God mean he gave the world to us, the monkeys OR he should have given the world to the monkeys instead of us?
30 years + I’ve been scratching my head over this. Some say it’s become a personal obsession. A mini quest if you like.
One thing is for sure. If I ever meet The esteemed D McManus it will be the first question I ask!
Any feedback is welcome of course.
