Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.2/100, a mean average of 90.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.4.

Classic.
Pleasant enough.
"Losing My Religion" is widely regarded as one of R.E.M.'s most iconic songs and a classic of 1990s . From time to time I listen to it and recall that time with unforgettable Michael Stipe’s performing dance. As far as I remember it was inspired by a Japanese art called butoh.
Fantástica em vários aspectos!
"Losing My Religion" refers to an old southern expression , to lose one's religion is to lose control or be at the end of ones tether
Stipe wanted to write a track akin to The Police's "Every Step You Take" which is a creepy stalking song , Stipe give's away the context of "Losing My Religion" whilst introducing it during their 1991 MTV Unplugged Concert by stating: "This Song Is About YOU"
One of the best tracks, ever.
Slightly Overrated, but a great track none the less, doesn't deserve to be R.E.M.'s top rated track though.

Amazing song that definitely helped defined part of my youth. Can't understand how this and Country Feedback are on the same album as Shiny Happy People (which I don't mind). So much going on in this album. This song defines R.E.M for me was more than "Radio Free Europe."
I know I'm in the minority but I find nothing special in this song. I was a huge REM fan who hated it when it was released and it really hasn't endeared itself to me since then.
