Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 90.7/100, a mean average of 89.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.9/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.7.

I really like this song and it feels a bit of a glam rock feel to it - to add to all the other influences suggested lol. Love the bass riff at the end of it's driving beat (a bit Tubular Bells - lol - another) - must be every beat has an influence here. I would have liked the vocals a touch more forward in the mix however.
I am not a big fan of Tame Impala but I really love this song. I would add another influence for this track: Uprising by Muse.
Particularly Beatlish sounding song. The song Taxman comes to mind, but it's no rip off, just a clear influence.
I'm apparently the only person on the planet that sees this as a below average song on this album. The hook is lifted almost verbatim from "Money" from Pink Floyd, it doesn't have nearly the infectious melody from the other tracks on this LP and it doesn't have the production wizardry where the track totally envelops you like the others.
It pains me this is what people consider the highlight track from lonerism.
That said it's still KP and still a great track, just it's not the best just because it is the most similar to other indie alternative types of songs written by Kevin's inferior peers.
It's a great song, but the driving rock feel doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the album for me.
What an awesome song. It's similar to Money by Pink Floyd cause it stands out as a more bluesy rock song on a purely psychedelic album, but it's also the best song off the album.
"He pulled his mirrors of his Cadillac 'cause he doesn't like it looking like he looks back".
Kevin Parker is a genius
The bass riff and eloquent lyrics make this song epic.
