Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. I like the idea of having interludes, it gives the album more air and makes it feel more cohesive. Same goes with the long outros of Under The Pressure and Disappearing.
I think it works well to have it in this spot, after Eyes To The Wind. And the build-up to Burning is really nice.
