One of the best debuts and one of the best pure hard rock albums there is. If you're going to spin a hard rock album at a party this album and Back in Black are about the best choices you can make.

I echo much of what the previous comment states. This is a stellar debut album. Even padded out slightly with covers, this thing nails down exactly what the Van Halen sound was to be.

To this day, I’ll play this album and still have a lot of fun with it. Undoubtedly an end to end masterpiece of hard rock.
