I feel like everybody got to the point here. Yes it is not my favourite Radiohead album (probably 4th best right now), but there was a time when this was the best thing ever. And I'd still give this to everyone who wants to start listening to Radiohead as an entry point, their most accesible album by far.

As for the songs themselves, I've always liked the ballads here, while I never really cared for Bones, Just and My Iron Lung.

The album however has two absolutely incredible songs, most artists don't have two of those caliber in their entire discographies. The haunting Street Spirit and the absolutely beauitufl and heartbreaking Fake Plastic Trees which I feel is their best song and quite probably the best song of the 90's. Everything about it is completely perfect, the build up and the release, Thom Yorke's passionate singing during the climax, the voice break on the first "if I could be who you wanted", and the often overlooked cathartic outro which feels like a perfect calm after a perfect storm.
