I keep meaning to check these guys out. Would this be a good album to start with?

This album is mediocre and overrated, even in Britpop standards. A few great songs but that's it really. At least it isn't bad like Pablo Honey.

It's probably my sixth favorite Radiohead album and I still like it more than 90% of other music. I'll revisit it every five or six years and go, "Yup. Still great!"

Track picks
3. High And Dry
4. Fake Plastic Trees
7. Just
12. Street Spirit (Fade Out)

fantastic album.
this album is my favorite Radiohead, but I'm not intimate with their entire catalogue.
I love that it rocks.
they have a unique sound, tempo, singing, etc... once you're familiar with it, it will grow on you and sound incredible.
you won't be disappointed.

Yes. Pablo Honey, their debut, isn't great. This is a better display of their early sound before they got a lot weirder on subsequent albums. This is still weird to an extent, but much more accessible than some of their later stuff. And it's just a great album regardless!

the album that got me into Radiohead
I owned the 7" single of Creep but when this came out I just found it brilliant.
