Post subject: BCA Crystal Castles II vs. Hemispheres vs. Apologies...Mary
Before voting, I would ask that voters AT LEAST listen to one song off of each album, from start to finish, just to get a feel for the sound. Remember, this tournament should allow you to listen to great Canadian music you may not have otherwise heard, so please take the opportunity to discover these great albums which have been nominated. Anyway, here we go:
The Canadian inside me knows that Rush is the right thing to do.
The teenager inside me knows that Crystal Castles is the right thing to do.
The hipster inside me knows that Wolf Parade is the right thing to do.
And ironically, I haven't heard either of these 3 albums in their entirety , but the 5-6 songs I know from each of them are amazing.
Wolf Parade of course! [even though I may have chose CC]. Apologies To The Queen Mary is a phenomenal record. That song up there "I'll Believe In Anything" should be known everywhere by now, it's an ultimate indie anthem and it's better than any individual song Arcade Fire or Broken Social Scene have written
Also fun Story: the album got it's name from an incident that involved the band breaking down the ballroom doors and staging a violent seance aboard the good ship "Queen Mary".
