Post subject: Favorite lyric (singular) by your fave songwriter (plural)
Okay, I've been listening to ALOT of "Either/Or" by Elliott Smith. I really adore this record. Some great lines. My favorite line by him right now is "everyone is dying, just pick your disease" I know it's depressing as hell, but the line and the way he delivers it in the song "Pictures of Me" really impinges and just kicks my ass every time!
Bob Dylan is my all time favorite everything... My favorite line by him right now is "The Executioner's face is always well hidden" ! OMG! I freaking love that line. From "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall"
Kristian Mattson is my 2nd fave (aka The Tallest Man On Earth)
Fave line "I'm just a fool out on the plains. I drink my water when it rains and I live by chance among the lightning strikes" yes!!!
Anyways, I would think such a fan of singer-songwriters would recognize that their beautiful words can't be broken down into one-liners. We just do that for the quote suggestions. Unless of course, you don't mind us posting whole songs here.

Hmm..... I suppose it would be alright to pick one line you love amidst a sea of great lines. But I also see whatcha mean about whole songs.... Hmm.... Well there ya go. I'd say there can be a separate evaluation of relative value or importance and enjoyment for one line just as there can be for one song amongst a group of songs on an album or one album amongst a group of albums by an artist or one one artist amongst a group of artists in a "scene" or "genre" or "era". Idk. That's just my opinion.
