Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 9% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.0/100, a mean average of 74.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.7.

Another quality album by Foals. Only ranks as their fourth best for me though! Again some bangers on this album. My highlights are Syrups, On The Luna and Exits. Very consistent album with no filler tracks.
Just few songs I really enjoyed.
Really high quality FIFA music. Some great moments and solid instrumentation. Sick bass and great vocals. A bit contrived at points but good more often than not.
Revisited it since it came out — it's pretty good
Plenty of rewarding moments to be found here with a mixture of tried and true Foals stick along with some new tricks sprinkled in
A really solid album from top to bottom that has a high degree of re-listen-ability
Part 2 of this Double Album comes out in September 2019 and I cant wait
Foals is an English hipster band with basic indie pop songs that I'm not really fond of. Songs such as "My Number" or "Mountain At My Gates" (which are real hits) are not part of my favorite songs. This is an English band that has managed to make a place among the big American indie rock bands such as Imagine Dragon or Cage The Elephant. The album is called "Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost, Part 1" and is their first part of their double album. Foals' problem is that they have the same ambitions as almost all the other commercial pop bands and therefore the same dead ends. Making political art an act of negligence, yet it is easier than ever to feel insensitive to sadness when everything seems to be getting worse.
6/10
Great cohesive album from Foals. Very consistent, great production without it being way overdone. More mature sound from an artist that I think is going to endure a huge comeback this year. Stand out track: "Sunday."
Corking record. Loads of big, pulsing synths over the top of chunky guitars. Good sound. I like it.
It’s been a long time coming but it sounds like Foals have finally come of age, whereas previous lps have been over-long with non-descript fillers cropping up with alarming regularity, this is the most focused they’ve sounded yet. UK indie 2019 has become a barren lonely place, so it’s nice to see these lads roll into town with the sort of tunes that sound like they actually understand pop music. We need them more than we know.
