Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 44.1/100, a mean average of 23.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 23.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 34.6.

This made me laugh. You get a star.
I've been off BEA a long time, and was hoping I'd just missed a meme, but Findley seems to have an actual following of some sort? 123 monthly listeners and 6.5k followers on Spotify? Are these bots?
I know I'm sorta one to speak - I'm not a great artist, and I've made some fairly poor creative decisions - see the barely-counts-as-music first album I released - but I tried to step away and get better, especially since becoming an adult. I'm really curious if I'm missing something here.
Anyhow, I rate based largely on the American education system - a 75% average so the average is a C, etc. Since you technically turned something in, here's more than a 0%, and an extra 5% for at least thinking about attempting a real instrumental on "You Really Got A Hold On Me".
100/100 for sheer gall. Everything from the outrageous music to the outrageous album cover to the outrageous consistency of Austin Findley releasing an "album" at the very start of every year solely to be visible on BEA for two weeks is simply amazing. "Last Christmas" is seriously on Shaggs level. The drum loop being repeated ad nauseam with the french horn (?) randomly playing the vocal melody can only come from the mind of someone who is just the right amount of arrogant and aware to create something this knowingly horrific. I would do this, but my narcissism level and tolerance for irony are slightly too low to make a FULL FUCKING ALBUM of this. One of the best worst things I have ever heard.
I'm actually putting a 0/0 because this is appalling, but Austin Findley will forever live in the internet hall of fame located in my heart.
This shit is so funny to me
First week of the year and this guy's back at it! Awful and sad,..."The Hits"? Ok then.

A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
