Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.6/100, a mean average of 77.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.3.

I try hard to not reward live albums that function as hits packages, because it sort of doesn't feel fair to the studio efforts. But once in a while, you simply have to deal with one that does that but also offers new angles on band and music-- and this, with the fabulous horn parts, does that sufficiently to make it the exception that suspends the rule, at least...
If you dig the Little Feat blend, you'll really enjoy this double-LP live album. If you're less enthralled with this group's sound, the live context and sheer volume of music might prove too grand a 'Feat' to accept.
Simply the live album that I listen to the most often. It's just that good. Lowell George at the height of his powers.
they were so perfectly integrated..it was almost like they combined boogie, black blues, R/B country, folk, gospel, soul, jazz fusion, and came up with what i would call "white blues", such great musicians
This record shows what a live album is about.
This was their biggest album by far (2BS 3140), it came out when Queen, "News of the world" and "Aja" were out..at the height of 70s album sales..this was a huge album and got a lot of airplay that Little Feat hadn't had before. This album was our chain's biggest selling album for 1977, just beating out Queen's "News of the world" and Kenny Loggins "Celebrate me Home"..all three albums got so much airplay in Cincinnati.
but "Last Record album" is my favorite little feat album, "long distance love', a classic love song.
