Listening to the debut album by the band, mysteriously named "Artist Vs. Poet," I think I have officially crossed over the line from veteran young guy to old man. It's not jealousy when I complain about the stuck to their foreheads coifs which adorn each members' album photos that accompany this album. I have a full head of perpetually silver locks which does at least give off the appearance of being clean and having "body." So, no, it's not jealousy that is the fulcrum for my derogatory remarks.
It's the paint by the numbers approach this collective of five youth parades forward throughout their initial introduction to the American public, like Blue Ribbon Prize Winners at the County Fair (Do They Still Have Those?). It's the perceived lack of separation between Art and Commerce, as this band checks every box on "The What To Do To Be Popular" Checklist - from imitatible hairstyles, to the real vs. Memorex recycled riffs of their music, to the sophomoric lyrics that every eight grader has penned in their "stay up past my bedtime" sojourns in their journals. Let's capitalize on the lowest common denominator and become huge stars!!! There's no art here, stop your search for that, it's just a money-making scheme. Rant complete>
The facts: Released in 2010 on Fearless Records (Cat#: FRL 30136-2) with 12 tracks of bs. Authenticated on discogs.com

A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
