Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 63.6/100, a mean average of 59.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 59.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 21.8.

“Pink Tape” has a lot going on. The main issue is there are far too many tracks. This album could be cut in half and still feel long. Uzi has some moments of lyrical pleasure. “Rehab” is a genuine thank you to those that helped them in a vulnerable time. The numerous self-digs at their sense of fashion and queerness are hilarious. The traditional rage and trap tracks are pretty well produced. They feel vibrant and energetic even if less creative than those on “Eternal Atake”. The metal songs are essentially songs by the featured artist with the occasional ad lib. Uzi does very little to make these feel like they are his own. The bane of the album are the interpolations. Numerous times, a song will take a melody or instrumental or both from a well-known track and wear it into the ground. “CS” is the worst of these, with it being a full degradation of “Chop Suey”. With a tighter listing and more emphasis on originality, “Pink Tape” could have succeeded.
