Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.2/100, a mean average of 76.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.9.

If the White Stripes hadn't existed, this would sound so much better.
Just didn't think the material was all that strong, nowhere near as good as Thickfreakness imo. No bad songs on the album but nothing really that memorable either.
Best song: "Just Couldn't Tie Me Down"; "Aeroplane Blues"
I don't understand how people can call this more of the same from the Black Keys. It's a big step forward from their last two albums and it still has their best songs, even if the production isn't as good as the later albums. The Length and Girl is on my mind are some of the best songs of the 2000's. Just because they take a lot of influence from bands like The White Stripes, doesn't mean their stuff isn't good in their own right. Overall this is their best album, and people should give it more of a chance.
In their third album, The Black keys didn't seem to care about changes, all we ser here is more of the same and It isn't even better than their other two. "The Lenghts" is the single track here that is above average.
Why does this album have such a low rating? Probably the best Black Keys album and one of the best of the blues rock/garage rock revival of the 2000's.
Underrated garage rock album. In fact, it actually sounds like it was recorded in a garage.
The best of the Black Keys' lo-fi albums. Raw and fun. And a great soundtrack to...well you get the idea.
I think this is the best Black Keys album to date. Great guitar. My 5 favorite songs are: 10 A.M. Automatic, All Hands Against His Own, The Desperate Man, Girl Is On Mind, and Aeroplane Blues.
A lot regard this album as the best one out of all of The Black Keys, I would agree. Pretty underrated album on this website, needs more attention
On par with Thickfreakness, not sure which one I like better. It might be a toss up. Modern blues-rock at its best.
