Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 18% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.1/100, a mean average of 72.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.0.

English review
I really like this album but being objective I think it's not on the same level as "The Man Who". Travis takes no risks with "The Invisible Band" and follows the same continuity path as its predecessor. Either way, there are good songs like "Sing," "Dear Diary," "Side," "Pipe Dreams," and "Indefinitely" that make this album worthwhile.
An excellent follow up to The Man Who cementing Travis as a personal favourite band . I return to this album often with its excellent lyrics, great hooks all with that patent Travis sounds we fans love.
Slightly disappointing follow up to, the man who. There are still some good songs, especially in, side, and, flowers in the window, but, sing, was such a limp first single from the album. It's not a bad record by any means and it was always going to be difficult following an album as good as, the man who, but I just find this a bit of a let down.
Such a beautiful follow up to The Man Who.
I would like to give a higher rating to it but only the first half worth that.
Not as good as 'The Man Who' but a good runner up an easy listening album throughout best tracks Side,Pipe Dreams,Sing,Flowers In The Window.
Outside of Flowers In The Window and Sing it a nice and gentle affair. However the two previously mentioned are the only songs I found to be great on here. You would like this a lot if you liked Coldplay and Snow Patrol though.
