Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 61.3/100, a mean average of 60.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 60.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 20.3.

What a wild ride this album is. I literally went from “this must be his worst album” to “this album is everything”. I started to notice that the songs incorporate elements of all genres known to the era of popular music: rock, pop, electronic, and hip hop. And it’s neither of them. I genuinely cannot put this album in one of these categories.

When I listen ‘Red Eye’ I wonder whether Kid Cudi would be better off producing girl groups, but then I hear ‘ooh woah’ from the whirlpool of sounds...

Wait this has a 59/100? I don't hear it. I find this an adventurous journey through outer space. As of now this is on high rating that I gave to his recent album PP&DS. No problems at all. To the point I am at a stump when the melon said this haunts him. Oh well beggars can't be choosers.

Cudi's best album. MOTM1 has been OK Computered to the point where Cudi is not allowed to make an album that isn't a MOTM1 rip-off without everyone hating on him. Every song on here, with the exception of Bring Your Friends, is gold. Another commenter said it best, if you don't like this album you probably don't like Kid Cudi.

Very underrated album. All production is handled by Cudi himself which I enjoy. There isn't a song on this album I dislike, even the 3 instrumentals are cool and unique. I have it rated right on par with MOTM I & II, although I wish I could give it like a 93 overall, just slightly behind his first two albums... Contains my favorite song, Just What I Am.

I'll never understand the hate on this album. There a still plenty of great songs on this album that any Kid Cudi fan should enjoy. Not to mention good features from King Chip, Kendrick Lamar,a$ap Rocky, and even Father John Misty. The way I see it is, this album doesn't sound a whole lot different than his first album did and has just as many "classics" on it. If you don't like Indicud you don't like Kid Cudi.

There are some good songs on this album. However, doesn't flow that well. Plus, I only like about half the songs. I like Kid Cudi, but this is his worst. When I heard he produced this album himself, I was excited, but the production is overall mediocre and I can easily say I am disappointed. I hope he ups his game on "Man On the Moon III".
