Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.2/100, a mean average of 71.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.8.

By 2015 it felt as if LDR has just arrived but ‘Honeymoon’ would in fact be her album numero quatro. Whilst classics such as ‘NFR’ and ‘Born To Die’ rightfully garner much critical acclaim ‘Honeymoon’ sits as the deep cut under appreciated gem in her catalogue with its slow sexy baroque burn. My only gripe is that at over an hour it does overstay its welcome by probably 15 minutes but its well worth sticking around for the superb Nina Simone cover closer “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”
One paced and dull
Menos soturna e com instrumental brilhante!
I really like it honestly. I don't mind change if it's good and this is definitely very good for being more of a chill outing. Her voice is wonderful for both slow and upbeat so I don't understand why some people are so against the change.
The best album of 2015... an absolute masterpiece. This was Lana Del Rey’s enlightenment. Transcended from the darkness that was Ultraviolence and Born To Die to a state of peace and nostalgia. The single High By the Beach remains a highlight along with the Bowie inspired “Terrence Loves You” and the gorgeous “Swan Song” along with “The Blackest Day” and “Religion”. This album is truly the definition of underrated.
This is maybe her most difficult album to like. The melodies are very melancholic. "The Blackest Day", "God Knows I Tried", "24", and "Honeymoon" are the most depressive tunes. Not as strong as "Born to Die" and "Ultraviolence" but its worth listening to. I understand it is not every fan's piece of cake but at least she is making something new.
Very artistic album. Her voice is great.
Unfortunately for Lana, all of her albums sound the same. Born to Die will ultimately be my favourite album of hers because it was the first. The rest will all be compared to this, and nothing so far has surpassed it.

Honeymoon is Lana's most well produced work, but unfortunately it is also her most dull and dry as well. It starts off very strong with the sad title track and moves into an almost sexy Music To Watch Boys To. Terrence Loves You and High By The Beach are probably the standout tracks on this album; but yet again, Lana falls victim to a dry back half and probably contains some of her worst songs yet. 24 and Swan Song suck all the charm this album had to offer and the shoddy cover of Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood is a trying listen. Overall, it's not a terrible album, the first half of this album is pretty great. However, after Art Deco, this album slowly loses it's way.
