Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 85.7/100, a mean average of 85.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.5/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 11.4.

Great picks, love this chart
I like it. It's a solid mix of new albums and classic old ones. Nice. Can't wait till you expand it to 100.
Heyo...i have time to sort of given a written review now.so yeah pretty decent chart...you have a love for the classic's XD i can see that, but they are classics for a reason..and if you want to know why i don't have many on my list is simply just because of my love for alternative music...i don't think i have a classic album that truly is straight rock in my chart. Maybe Pink Floyd, but i do dab in them a little while and do enjoy them. uh..yeah
I'm just gonna maybe throw out some suggestions at you for band's i think you might possibly enjoy or possibly just artists you never really listened to with much thought
1. Sex Pistols
2. My Bloody Valentine
3. A Tribe Called Quest
A few drawbacks but a solid list.
