Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 78.8/100, a mean average of 75.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.0/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 9.8.

Full of surprises and seeing John Denver is a music legend.
Great 70's stuff
I can see why GARY liked this chart... Very 70s hard rock. Not bad!
music didn't stop in 1989 ! !
I think you should open up to new music, but other than that it's a good chart
Air Supply to ZZ Top - love this chart - great selection of albums with a few twists (artists and albums I would not expect to see). Led Zeppelin at #1 - big call!
Thanks for the comment. Just so you know, I love Spectres. After the first three BOC albums, my favorites are Spectres and Cultosaurus Erectus, but my interest in including more artists kept me from listing more than 2 BOC albums.
I dig your chart. Two Nuge albums, don't see that often. Good to see Cosmo's Factory, too. Love that one.
