A barrage of foreword thinking songs and songwriting while still giving clever nods to the past. Titanic Rising absolutely cooks as it gets going. Beautiful and engaging. [First added to this chart: 02/19/2021]

The final Rush album. Neil Peart's legacy record in a catalog filled to the brim with stellar brilliance.

Clockwork Angels is a great album and I was beyond happy with it when it came out, the first album to come out during my time being a fan of the band. It’s also Rush at their most consistent, creative, and cohesive in some time.

The album's closer, The Garden closes the curtain on not only an excellent final album, but an excellent band's recorded career. We love you, Neil.

Writing this blurb a decade after its release, Random Access Memories has only shot further up my charts as time goes on, mainly in the last year or so.

Daft Punk conjures up the past with hope for the future with the jaw-dropping glitz and impressive construction of Random Access Memories. Knowing now this is likely their swan song, the duo left us with what I feel is their greatest achievement.

Fiona Apple is an absolute musical genius. It amazes me that each album in her catalog is so unique to one another but simultaneously intrinsically Fiona. As a beginning to end listen, The Idler Wheel is her most complete work. She turned music on its head a little bit using even more uncommon percussion and other instrumentation than ever before and her voice is so beautiful here. [First added to this chart: 04/29/2020]

There's a sharpness to the production here that I think I like as much if not more than The Money Store, but TMS is a little more consistent songwise.

Bottomless Pit is one of my favorite listens of the decade and boasts a number of the best Death Grips tracks around. I often reference the beat switch on Hot Head as the decade's greatest example of tension and release.

Songs of love, loss, lost love, found love, self-doubt, self-love, self-hate, and appreciating your mom. Purple Mountains is one of the great and most impactful singer-songwriter records of the decade. One of the decade’s most tragic collections of tales as well. [First added to this chart: 04/01/2021]
