Always loved what I've heard from Nightwish. So been exploring and getting different bands and versions of symphonic metal over the last few years. Some have been good. Then get this. Instantly you can hear the difference. Nightwish fuck all over all other symphonic metal bands. They are the undisputed symphonic metal gods. 03/24

They are the kings of Rhythm and Groove. Not as good as their other albums but this is still fucking great.

I think this gets a slightly bad rap. It sounds like it should. The heavy riffs & rhythms of Metallica over the junkie (ex-junkie) poetry lyrics of Lou Reed. The tracks which go on the avant-garde jazz rock tangent are the ones that let the album down. But overall it's not a bad collaboration. The second CD of it (last 4 tracks) being the better by far.

Guttural symphonic metal from Greece. They mix the symphonic, black metal and even a verging on heavy prog in some places very well. 04/24

Not bad. When Dave Grohl sings he's actually not bad and the songs are really good. Then he does his usual loud shouty yelling vocals and it's this that have always let the Foo Fighters down for me. But this album has a lot more good than 'not so' tracks.

This is a good album and similar to 'Holy Smoke' which I love. The only 'but' I have is that her voice and vocal style can get a bit much by the final stretch. 04/24

Interesting one this. The songs are good and consistent right through. However, I can't put my finger on it but there's something lacking. I've listened to this many, many times trying to find what I must be missing. For me there's no popping WOW factor. Decent album but average. A good average though.

Jane's Addiction albums always seem to take a while to grow on me. This is no exception. It has gone up in my ratings recently though. It's a good length album, not to long. Love the bass lines on a lot of tracks. The front half does have the way better songs. Back half verging on filler
