They indeed perform the same trick each album but they do it so well. The guitar soars again, also Lou delivers some tracks and there is never a boring moment: another excellent album of these Dinosaurs not so junior any more. [First added to this chart: 04/23/2021]

Formerly known as a great guitar band but not much more. They are still a great guitar band but this album they show how to also make some great songs. Sometimes even a bit Wilco or Sophia. [First added to this chart: 02/10/2022]

The first reference that comes to mind is Siouxsie and the Banshees but it's perfectly done their own way. Hint: the title tells it all. [First added to this chart: 04/02/2021]

A new band but referring to an old one as it contains a few members of the Wrens especially also Kevin Whelan and this shows itself in the great songwriting on this equally great album. A number of songs taken on a Arcade Firean grandeur and the best example of this is the fantastic Fade. But there is enough quality here to shake off these references. A modern classic more people should have heard. [First added to this chart: 12/10/2021]

Parquet Courts go Talking Heads, at least on the best track like the first two and Homo Sapien. The best thing about this band is that they try not to repeat themselves while sticking to great song writing and great danceability. [First added to this chart: 10/23/2021]

Haha saw your comment. Thanks for that and the rating.

Yes I have heard a lot. Surely will slow down sometime - probably by February. And I will make a custom chart or 3 for bleed over if it comes to that.

As for Matthew sweet, I haven’t listened to a new one of his albums in years and years. But maybe I’ll check it out.
