Top 100 Albums - 2012 edition by Wasinski

"Irk the purists!
Made strictly according to a self-inflected "just one record per band"-rule, which sadly means just one Residents or The Spits record in the chart:)"
Chart and comments originally made in 2011-2012. Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now, doh! I wish.

The number one album in heaven. Perfect in every sense. This is the over the top kind of magic Queen tried (but mostly failed) to make. They even get away with a cover of Do-Re-Mi from The Sound of Music. [First added to this chart: 02/17/2024]

Intelligent punk idiocy from a parallel universe. Every album from this group is better than the three first albums by Ramones (except vol 5 which is just a tiny bit better than Road to Ruin) [First added to this chart: 02/17/2024]

This is so good. "Here Come the Warm Jets", "Another Green World" and "Before and After Science" should also be mentioned as some of the best albums ever recorded. Several of his more ambient records are also close to god. [First added to this chart: 02/17/2024]

Convulsed into oblivion, from laughter or from fright. A good place to start to know the residents. (Commercial Album could also be a good start, their more resent records like Coochie Brake are also well worth checking out) [First added to this chart: 02/17/2024]
