This or sgt peppers has been my favorite album since I was 15. The older I get the more entrenched this record becomes. It has everything in one magnificent album. [First added to this chart: 03/08/2024]

Probably the most amazing concert of all time. The dead at their psychedelic peak making true magic on the spot. The dark star is truly trasportive and the playing in the band explores some crazy territory. A truly incredible journey and exercise in improvisation. [First added to this chart: 03/08/2024]

I normally cringe at greatest hits albums on lists like these and here I have one at number three on my list. PAC is one of a kind though. The most important rapper in history and this record is unparalleled. He is more a singles artist anyway and this album has songs not available on any other record. Including my favorite song of all time changes. [First added to this chart: 03/08/2024]

Like nothing else ever released. It’s not exactly music but it’s an artistic soundscape. A sonic marvel. I hated this the first two times I tried to listen to it but then on three it started to click and now I think it’s pure genius after many many listenings. This isn’t for everyone but if your tastes in albums run eccentric this just might be for you. [First added to this chart: 03/08/2024]

This is such a beautiful record. Not really sure what he’s singing about sometimes but it’s still moving and magnificent. He may be a bit of an ass but he makes fantastic music. [First added to this chart: 03/08/2024]

Play you just found out your mother died and Eddie Hazel wails an amazing powerful guitar solo that’s possibly the best ever put on wax. George Clinton and his band of funk legends make one of the 70s most important and powerful records. [First added to this chart: 03/08/2024]

I love hot guitar playing and Zappa may honestly be the best guitarist not named Allman or Hendrix. This record is fantastic. With a great cameo from Don van vliet. [First added to this chart: 03/08/2024]
