For some dirty subject matter this album sounds beautiful. Reed and Cale make a damn near perfect record that if you don’t listen to closely to the lyrics you’d never suspect it was the velvet underground.

George was sitting on tons of great ideas that he just had trouble getting into a Beatles record and this album just explodes with creativity over its six sides.

I remeber being so excited for this debut to hit the stores. Never wanted a debut album this bad. And it delivered can still remeber the first time I slid the cd I to my car stereo. Can still smell the weed.

The most beautifully sung album in history. Art garfunkels pipes are unmatched and Paul Simon is one of the greatest songwriters in history.

Yes this was played on the radio a lot back in its day. Every song is a hit. The boss ruled the airwaves for good reason. Not the nationalistic tune some right wingers seem to think it is when they try to use it as a campaign tune.

My first record. Well it was my mom’s copy but I will always have a special place in my heart for this classic. Paul’s side two though not as famous is the real gem. And side one is brilliant.
