Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 79.5/100, a mean average of 75.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.1/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 16.5.

This chart is almost as good as mine!!
you're taste in music is amazing!!
Nice list. It is interesting how many lists have a subset of the 60s/70s classics, only a handful of 80s albums, a big showing of 90s and then go off in totally different directions in music from 2000s on ... same roots lead to so many branches and different tastes in music.
Pretty cool chart
Some absolute gems on here. Hooray for Mermaid Ave!
Really diverse and great!
Animals is DEFINITELY the best Pink Floyd. Also, Phish and The Flaming Lips are two of my favourite bands. You've also got Moon and Antarctica on here, aswell as Demon Days. Love your taste in music.
This chart really shows what kind of music you're into, and not all of it's the stuff everyone likes. They Might Be Giants, Dr. Dog, and Misfits were neat choices.
I like this chart. Lots of albums I also have on my list, and yay for Metallica. :)
