Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

The ending of this song is epic, I just wish it wasn't such an arduous journey to get there...
Perfectly paced buildup starting with a lonely, almost haunting guitar progression to the thunderous drumming and helpless lyrics at the end. It deserves a much higher rating.
when the drums start is so epic and cinematic
The big time of The Suburbs, this song in the same vein of Street Spirit, is one of the greatest achievements of Arcade Fire.
i REALLY like this song
That riff is epic. If I ever picked up a guitar, that is the kind of riff I would want to write. I think the problem that songs may have that are centered around a riff this tight is that good musical changes become difficult. That seems to be the case here and the song stagnates a bit... that is until the ending, where everything picks up, and hits creciendo taking a totally new turn. Epic ending as well.
