Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 88.3/100, a mean average of 87.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.1/100. The standard deviation for this track is 15.1.

What an opener. The mood created by the keys, guitar and that back beat is mesmerising. Phil's vocals are incredible. One of the best if not the best song they did as a 3-piece. Phenomenal.

Unsurprisingly, Genesis knocks the opening song of the album out of the park once again. I think plenty of Genesis fans will agree with me when I say that this is the best vocal performance of Phil Collins' career. So much force, so much emotion. Just incredible. Mama also features the best use of a drum machine in any Genesis song, some crunchy guitar from Rutherford, and spooky, dire keyboards from Banks. The song goes from great to incredible when Collins takes over on the sticks four minutes in, where his power matches the strength of his voice. One of the crowning achievements of the three-piece era, no doubt about it.
