Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track has a Bayesian average rating of 77.4/100, a mean average of 75.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 17.4.

I appreciate the loyal underdogs that genuinely enjoy this track. But goddamn I just have to put my 2 cents on it.
There are honestly very few things to like about this track. I love both the main dreamy, catchy beat and the switch around the second half came out pretty nice.
That's it, now, the main drawback is pretty common among Kendrick fans and so is for me; the vocals.
While some may find it fun and laid back, the clumsy attempt of a subtle mumble rap comes out so incredibly cringy, atop these awful laugh tracks that get thrown every once in a while. And for a rapper that has time and time again amazed with his pounding lyricism, this track could be understood by children; there's no subtle message, no inference, nothing, it could all be summarized in, "god is bad because he laughs at me".
With no doubt this is one of the most mediocre songs Kendrick has ever put together in his whole career.
Probably the catchiest song in Kendrick's discography next to 'i'. I dont get the dislike, yeah its not a deep song, it's not trying to be. Super fun vocals and a blast to rap along too. One of my favorites on the album.
Hard to understand the dislike for this song, my favourite on the album and probably favourite song of the year. Love the vocals. Been listening to it so much without getting bored.
I find the lyrics don't really add up to the subject matter. God is a big concept that Kendrick has commented on many times before. There is, of course, plenty of thematic reference to God, but nothing as insightful of which I know Kendrick is capable. The song, in general, has a fine beat, but the bridge that changes up the beat and tone is something I really like about this track. The other highlight is Kendrick's second verse which is much better than the first. I also find the chorus almost annoying in a way, probably due to a lack of substance through repetition. The track is probably my least favorite besides "Loyalty", better, but I'm still pretty indifferent to the song. I'd give the track a 5.5/10.
I love the beat for this song, it reminds me of GKMC with some slight poppy influence, which in my opinion actually works quite well here. The lyrics are great as usual, so no complaints from me.
