Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 89.8/100, a mean average of 88.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.0/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.3.

Everything about this is great except the lyrics. Listen close. It's a celebration of slavery. Whether intended or not.
Such an awesome song. Very lyrically daring as well. Deals with taboo topics that no one would touch today.
Always thought they sing about heroin but it is more about a woman whip is black but could have be different meanings.
Brilliant analysis of interracial relationships and whether there exists an inherent power dynamic to black-white sexual relationships. Of course, Mick concedes with the realization that he doesn't actually care and will continue to fuck whoever he wants regardless of his conclusion on the issue.
Damn. So much damn SWAGGER.
One of my favorite Stones songs, and one of Keith's best riffs.
A great song, but I tend to appreciate it a little less than it's reputation would suggest. By anyone else, this would deservedly be a great hit, but the Stones had even better to offer, including most of the cuts on this album.
This is where the second phase Rolling Stones era really begins. This is a brilliant track full of energy and grit and everything you want from a Stones rocker. Originally titled, black pussy, it's a fantastic start to a fantastic album with Bobby Keys' rip roaring sax solo the icing on the cake. Where, satisfaction, was the sixties Stones anthem, Brown sugar, is their seventies anthem. Classic rock'n'roll.
Classic
What a power anc what a unforgetable riff.
