Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.0/100, a mean average of 89.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.2/100. The standard deviation for this track is 14.0.

I can’t stand this song. It doesn’t even sound like a Beatles song. Just sounds like a generic 70s piano super hit song. Very boring, very standard chords, boring chorus, and the distorted guitar solo doesn’t go well with theme and vibe of the song. A solo with a classical feel like the one from “In My Life” would’ve been better. Maybe an organ solo from Billy Preston. I can’t belive Brian Wilson said this was his favorite Beatles song. Paul went from writing songs like “Yesterday”, “Here There, and Everywhere”, “And I Love Her”, and “Eleanor Rigby” to simple hit songs like this.

My favourite Beatles track and one of the best songs ever written in my opinion. Love the guitar solo. 100/100

The single version of this track is a little better, but the album version is still great.

Best song on the album. Yes it's very saccharine but given that Paul wrote it about his mother it works. Just a beautiful song.

It's a good song, but totally overrated, it definitely doesn't deserve a 91.

A beautiful song, a kind of rock'n'roll hymn. Extremely spiritual and intensely moving, given the end of the Beatles wasn't that far away, it's a lovely creation, one of Paul McCartney's greatest contributions to the group. There is also a single version of this song, but this is the superior one with a much better guitar solo. Best song on the album.
