Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track has a Bayesian average rating of 72.5/100, a mean average of 71.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 18.1.

Absolutely disgusting, but I guess it plays its part in the album.
Billy Corgan's voice doesn't fit on here.
I could even put some of the most cringeworthy sweetcore singers and it would fit better than Corgan's.
Sorry Billy, you weren't made for distorted guitar songs
I don't really like this kind of songs from them
Very weak follow up to 1979
After the best song in the album, the worst
Really contrasts 1979.
Nope
you can instantly tell this song's gonna kick your ass, with the train wreck of guitar and billy's distorted screams of "farewell goodnight last one out turn out the lights" proclaiming an answer to his torturous question "why do the same old things keep on happening? / because beyond my hopes there are no feelings ". And just when you think the song is losing momentum it kicks your ass again 2/3 of the way. The line "i lie just to be real, and i'd die just to feel" is a little over-dramatic, but affective in the context of this slayer.
