Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.4/100, a mean average of 71.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.6.

I like The Killers so the fact this sounds like them is not a bad thing it just makes it puzzling as to why Brandon would release this as a solo project especially when Dave Kuening & Ronnie Vennucci feature
Another good album from The Killers (frontman)
Brandon Flowers proves once again that he is a good artist.
I mainly agree with zdwyatt comments. This album is more similar to the latest Killers' releases (Day & Age, Battleborn) than the oldest releases (Hot Fuss, Sam's Town).
Favorite tracks: Jilted Lovers & Broken Hearts, Magdalena
Less favorite tracks: Playing With Fire, Was It Something I Said?
I didn't even know The Clock Was Tickin' was a bonus track, and it's easily one of my favourites. Crossfire is actually great.
Playing with Fire is the one good song.
Sounds exactly like a Killers record. That's not a criticism; I like The Killers. I just don't get what motivates solo releases that only mess up my album collection organization. (Sorry, Brandon, I am still putting this on the K shelf.) Incidentally, this is like a Springsteen album, if The Boss loved Las Vegas instead of New Jersey.
theres a lot of people hating this album... dude it is super underrated, just give it a listen
Fantastic solo album from The Killers frontman. Playing With Fire and On the Floor are some of the best songs he has ever written.
