Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.7/100, a mean average of 68.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.5.

I'm not even a big Nas fan but I don't understand the hate for this
honestly album of the year so far. Nas lays down his usual stellar lyrics and Kanye does what he's good at producing, he actually doesn't even ruin his guest spot. best album ye has been envolved with since the blueprint.
Fucking exceptional album. Just some really incredible and creative production, and Nas brings in some seriously thought provoking, clever, and intricate bars. It's just another overwhelmingly great and consistent album in this series of Kanye-produced albums. YE SEASON. Instead of listing my favorites and least favorites, because I love them all, I'll just rank the tracks.
1. Everything
2. Cops Shot the Kid
3. Bonjour
4. Not For Radio
5. Adam and Eve
6. Simple Things
7. White Label (which is still an AMAZING track)
Vastly disappointing, sounds pretty much like Kanye to my ears, which makes sense I suppose. Contrived and wannabe controversial lyics, decent beats sometimes (Adam and Eve), terrible beats othertimes (Cops Shot the Kid). Nas himself sounds ever so slightly lackluster and lothargic on this album, as someone else said, maybe it really is time to retire. There will never be another Illmatic.
Kanye's production is the only reason I am giving this a 6.5. Kanye's production is consistently great on here, even if it isn't quite up to par with the standards he set on Daytona, Ye, or Kids See Ghosts this year. Without Kanye's efforts this would be a 4/10 from me. Nas' contributions to the album are weak, and extremely disappointing for a widely considered top tier rapper. The lyrical performance consists of topics that have been discussed numerous times on other hip-hop projects, and in a much more interesting fashion. Nas' delivery is frequently quite boring throughout the project with many "fake deep" moments that would fit snug on a Hopsin record. He even has a line about Fox News that is just flat out false, and can be fact checked on Google. Overall, this album is quite the let down. It may be time for Nas to retire, it's not a good sign when even Kanye beats can't make you interesting anymore. Nas just doesn't have the same energy that Pusha T, Kanye, or Kid Cudi were able to display to make the other three Ye-related albums as great as they are.
pretty good
An amazing record. I think this might be my favorite Kanye-produced album of 2018 so far. It just has a lot of energy song after song and the momentum doesn't stop anywhere. It's hit after hit and there's no weak song in here. I don't even like Nas that much, but the production in here is top notch.
Favorite songs: "Not For Radio", "Cops Shot the Kid"
