Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.7/100, a mean average of 70.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 10.2.

Neil acertou mais no fim dessa década, bom álbum! Guitarras estão ótimas!
I had a go at this when it came out and I didn't like it. I'm in a NY mood of recent and it now sounds decent. It's no later career classic like Psychedelic Pill was but it's ok.
Released fifty years after NY&CH's definitive debut "Everybody Knows This is Nowhere." The classic garage rock sound is here but the lyrical content is consumed by frustration towards government environmental and climate policy. Shorter than Psychedelic Pill, but not as good of a record.
Track Pick: Green is Blue
Maybe not the "return to form" I was sort of hoping for, but Neil Young's return to Crazy Horse after a 7 year absence still has its moments. I prefer the glimpses at the Crazy Horse of old over the more mellow tracks, with the exception of Green is Blue which is one of the more impressive songs.
Key tracks: Help Me Lose My Mind, She Showed Me Love and Green is Blue
