This was a really pleasant surprise to come across. I’d given up on them releasing anything new after years of hiatus status. There’s a freshness but also a comforting familiarity in the sound here. The atmospherics are still there enhancing the auditory experience and is, in my view, what elevates them above contemporaries such as Elbow.
A good record. Doves are a band who just do their thing. Some really enjoyable moments
its been a while.but worth the wait.my fav of 2020 so far.
