Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 70.6/100, a mean average of 69.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 70.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.4.

Mostly mediocre and boring album with three standouts for me - Sing, She's So High and Wear Me Down.
Suco do Britpop!
I am hearing this after most of their follow up albums - it is good but I think they went on to make better albums. Repetition and Sing are stand out for me but I struggle with Come Together. The rest is good.
Lacks consistence but a decent debut from a great band. Sing is the outstanding track for me.
Not a typical opinion.
This is the only Blur album I ever liked. A kind of wistfulness to the songs. A bit sloppy but this just adds to the charm. I'll take this over Parklife or Song 2 any day.
There are the obvious standouts - She's So High, Sing, There is no other way, but its the connecting songs which really come to the fore on multiple listens - Bang, Slow Down, Bad Day, Birthday.
[I know Albairn himself doesnt like this album] If my review makes no sense to you, I admit Pablo Honey is my favorite Radiohead Album.
Sadly forgotten debut album. Every song on it is at least decent; and "She's so high", "Bang" and "Fool" are among my favorites of their entire catalogue.
The debut of Blur is somewhat distinct in their repertoire. They haven't quite yet found their "Blur Sound". There are a couple of gems here though. The album opens strongly with "She's So High" and "There's No Other Way". It loses focus for a while. It closes by regaining some of the hit - making potential further evident on later releases.
Currently halfway through Blur's discography, and I think it's pretty obvious this one's sadly underrated
It exceeded all my expectations, awesome underrated album. 8/10.
