Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 6% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.8/100, a mean average of 74.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.4.

wicked fun album. Not as focused as Pork Soda, but more fun for sure. Tim Alexander is a monster on this one
Really good album.
Favorites: The American Life, Jerry Was A Race Car Driver, Is It Luck?, Tommy The Cat.
Saw these guys for the first time last week, they were phenomenal and it was my first real taste as to what Primus was. I had heard multiple songs before, but never realized what level of rhythmic, musical, mantra level grooves I was in for the whole night. They played almost all of the first half of this album throughout the night so it's the first full Primus record I'm listening to.
One of the great bass albums of all time, but the drums from Tim Alexander and guitar from Larry Lalonde are also brilliant.
Their best album. Les Claypool is a monster
Some of these songs I'll admit that if it weren't Primus performing them... I wouldn't like them.
Having said that, the first 7 tracks are just amazing.
This is their best one. Solid songs and two ditties.
Three monsters at the top of their inspiration, Frank Zappa became a Jaco Pastorius and made this crazy album.
Rhythmic acrobatics and human caricatures personified.
Splendid. Primus finds their groove, balancing their trademark humor with tight riffage, heavy on the low end.
Amazing record.
