Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.8/100, a mean average of 77.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.6.

Fluffy as a pillow harmless French pop that’s owes more than a debt to The Strokes
A fantastic modern pop albums with so many songs that you can just fall in love with. The best on the album being Rome, Lisztomania and Lasso all of which are so beautifully composed with great lyrics and amazing production. The record doesn't over stay its welcome as well with it being a short and cute album that keeps you entertained throughout. There is a track that I'm not incredibly keen on and I do think it is quite weak and that is Love Like A Sunset Pt. 1 but it isn't so bad it sucks you out of the atmosphere of the album. Overall, this is an extremely fun record full of enjoyable moments.
Que alegria de álbum!
Modern pop music doesn't get much better than this.
I wasn't expecting much from this album past the first two tracks, but I must say, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix is very enjoyable. The songs don't feel like they just fell from the sky, they feel like they were worked on pretty tirelessly. This might be an incorrect assumption, but that's the impression I get from it. And that is definitely a positive. Pop music should be that way, in my opinion. Tight, choreographed, and beloved by their creators.
The only word I can think of when describing this record is magical. Absolutely perfect from beginning to end. An album worth playing on repeat. Pheonix hasnt made anything close to this in terms of quality since, but this record is a towering achievement of their sound.
Fantastic album
Fantastic and an essential part of the indie canon. Unmistakable French electronic influence blends seamlessly with late 2000's trends in indie and create a truly unique, interesting sound. Lyrically the songs are pretty strong, few albums capture the essence of the early, easy part of love so easily and so completely.
Fairly standard indie album with nothing of particular ill or benefit.
Fun and uplifting. This album is fantastic.
