I absolutely love the title track. "Mess of Me" is just way too on the nose for my tastes.
This album is all about melancholia and being happy to be sad. There are a few great tracks (Mess Of Me, Hello Hurricane, The Sound, Needle and Haystack Life) and few bad ones (Always, Free, Your Love Is A Song). There's a song like "Bullet Soul" in just every Switchfoot album. "Enough To Let Me Go", "Yet" and "Red Eyes" are attempts to make you cry. It can work or not, it depends on you.

A comeback of sorts. I wrote this band off as a one-album wonder for a long time, but this one rekindled some of my interest in them, mostly due to the great singles Mess of Me and The Sound.

I can't describe why exactly i like this album,every bit of it!maybe for its lyrics and concept,that reminds me of U2,and that's more than enough for me!
