Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist is rated in the top 7% of all artists on BestEverAlbums.com. This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 78.0/100, a mean average of 77.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.8/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 12.0.

Great artist, but his last album was so bad
1. coloring book
2. acid rap
3. the big day
love him
His skill is undeniable, but his songwriting leaves much to be desired. There are far better rappers who will never receive his level of celebrity, though I hold out hope that he may surprise is with a great album yet!
10 Day and Acid Rap are two of the greatest mixtapes of all time, easily. Coloring Book was not the direction I expected him to take. I never thought Chance would end up making crappy party songs with 2 Chainz and Lil Yachty, he seemed to take pride in his unique approach to hip-hop. I hope working with Kanye so much and becoming a household name doesn't shift his sound permanently into what we got with Coloring Book. Acid Rap and 10 Day were amazing because it was something different. I guess only time will tell.
With that said, Coloring book wasn't awful by any means, it had some highlights for sure like Same Drugs, or both of the Blessings tracks. It's just filled with a lot of shitty party tracks like All night and Mixtape. It takes a gospel approach on many songs which was obviously Kanye's idea after making Ultralight Beam, except none of the tracks on CB were even remotely as good as Ultralight Beam. Even Chance's verse on Ultralight Beam was better than basically all of his verses on his own gospel album.
He has a lot of talent, I hope going mainstream doesn't mean he's just going to start following the rest of the mainstream. He has enough personality and talent to be one of the pioneers in hip-hop and be a trend starter like Kanye as opposed to following trends Kanye (or others) already started.
A pretty good upcoming rapper, and in the second tier of rappers, just under the first tier which would contain Kendrick and Kanye. 10 Day and Coloring Book are great albums, can't wait for another album between him and Childish Gambino.
The next big rapper?
