Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 68.8/100, a mean average of 66.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 66.7/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 19.8.

In my humble opinion, I really gotta disagree with the placement of Underclass Hero and Screaming Bloody Murder. Underclass Hero was probably the most forgettable/lazy album Sum 41's put out. All Killer No Filler was obviously the peak, but SBM has always been extremely overlooked. That was an album that genuinely made you feel,
Made some great songs.
Better than Blink-182, in my opinion.
You can hate Pop-Punk just as much as you want, but do you really think that a band that's been something pretty big to that genre should be under Adele, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, and hell knows what other trash?
I mean, there's that thing of "it's just a simple song with 3 chord and a classic structure", which is often true. But, well, first of all it's still not as boring as any of what I've mentioned. Secondly, Sum 41 is an example of a band that's been experimenting a lot. Pop Punk that's suddenly turns into a Heavy Metal Riff, putting Skate Punk and Punk Rock elements, etc.
Plus, not all of their songs are about love, that's already makes them better than any of those overrated Pop singers.
I guess i see others' point of view but sum 41 has a great range of genres varying from pop punk to melodic hardcore and i think they are an amazing band
I can understand why music lovers in general don't like sum 41, but i have always... maybe it's the nostalgia talking but whatever
Clever, but simple. They don't do anything new - just charismatic, fun 3-chord punk. Nothing to seek out unless you like that sort of stuff.
