Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 73.6/100, a mean average of 71.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 73.1/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 19.5.

What a collection of talent. Arguably the most talented rap group of all time. When your least important members are MC Ren and DJ Yella you are one hell of a group. The launching pad for Ice Cube, Eazy E and Dr. Dre. What an amazing group of talent.
Even without the solo work many of the members went on to produce, this album alone set the tone for gangsta rap into the 90s, and influenced many of the rappers that followed. Even if you prefer Snoop, Biggie Smalls, or 2pac, you can't deny that we probably wouldn't have had them if not for these guys. Straight Outta Compton is certainly a great album, even if the recent movie has made it momentarily overrated.
These are a great group all very talented rappers, their best song is Gangsta Gangsta
Shook us all up... Their one album is actually pretty good. On quality alone, it almost matches their social impact.
