Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 7% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.5/100, a mean average of 74.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.4.

Pity this is the sole live document of the Smiths. Worthwhile but scrappy. The best review was by the band itself that insisted on it being called "Rank"

Non-essential, even for Smiths fans. Apart from the instrumental "Draize Train" and the snippet of Elvis's "(Marie's the Name) His Latest Flame" you're not going to be surprised by anything contained on this live disc. None of the songs struck me as being improved through live performance

Excellent live album! It's a very good example of how good The Smiths were during their heyday.

That version of London is awesome. Is there a studio recording of it?

Very disappointed to see nothing from Meat Is Murder on here. It was their best album too. Either way, solid live album, The Smiths were/are truly excellent.

Sure, it's just a live album from The Smiths, and it cannot be considered their best record. Still, it's a great live LP, showing how The Smiths could rock on stage so much more than on album format. Check out their punkish version of "London" for instance.
