Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.5/100, a mean average of 76.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.7.

This album is a very enjoyable album and has a lot of brilliant tracks as well. While the music isn't completely unique it does have very strong instrumentation that feels frantic and very fun. The vocal is very consistent and deliver the lyrics very well. It is a reasonably unbalanced album as some songs are poor compared to others but on the whole there is a lot more great tracks than bad tracks. There is also a lot to keep coming back for on this record and you can find that it is very addictive and you will keep listening to it over and over again. Overall, the record is full of great content and enjoyable moments so is worth a listen.

One of the best for this style ( I don't wanna say genre, because it isn't that clear which genre this fits into ).

I prefer this one to Core. It has more varied and creative songs imo. Not every song is perfect but this is some amazing alt rock/grunge. And it contains the biggest dark horse of the STP catalog, "Kitchenware and Candybars"

Favorite tracks: Silvergun Superman, Kitchenware and Candybars, Interstate Love Song

Purple is competent, but it's an artistic dead end, like Kiss and Aerosmith updated for the 1990s.

Vasoline, Interstate Love Song, Pretty Penny, Big Empty, Silvergun Superman, are very solid. The others... well I feel they are average, but that's my taste.

After years I still get Lounge fly stuck in my head. Its worth watching that one live on youtube, RIP scott. Great record but not as good as Core... Idk where this disagreement is coming from...???
