Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. If you like Kate Bush and Enya you'll most likely love Loreena McKennitt. This is her early masterpiece. Mysterious and powerful songs with a strong voice and orchestral sound. The recording quality ist excellent.

This is quintessential Loreena; marvelous composition, beautiful and haunting melodies, and that wonderful, ethereal voice.

I should mention that she has a strong celtic-folk core to her music which is complex and atmospheric.

If you like Joanna Newsom and/or Kate Bush check out Loreena McKennitt. Three albums which I would rate at 90 (or better) are The Visit (1991), The Mask and the Mirror (1994) and The Book of Secrets (1997).
